- Tropical Storm Claudette became the third named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season just after midday Monday about 500 miles east-northeast of Cape Hatteras,North Carolina.
- Claudette moved northeast and became a post-tropical cyclone before reaching Newfoundland late Tuesday night.
- Claudette will only bring some showers and gusty winds to eastern Nova Scotia and Newfoundland into Wednesday.
