With so many species in decline,it’s always important to highlight the stories of one returning from the brink of extinction. This is the Guam kingfisher,known locally as a Sihek,and for the past 40 years,it has been extinct in the wild. But thanks to extensive captive breeding programs,this species is turning its fortunes around.
